Baby room update!
Big progress over here in baby land. What used to be a very normal, very beige guest room has officially transformed into a real baby room, and I am *obsessed*. Walls are painted, the vibe is coming together, and somehow it already feels like a space meant for tiny giggles and late-night snuggles. Huge, enormous, can’t-thank-you-enough shoutout to Molly and Ashley, who truly carried this project on their backs. They painted, designed, gave opinions, made decisions, and basica

Texas Adventures Before Baby Mode Activates
We just got back from Texas and let me tell you… it was a *very* successful pre-baby mission. There was family time, there was a lot of food (like… an amazing amount), and there was absolutely no shame about going back for seconds. Or thirds. We spent time hanging out with Jon’s family, laughing a lot, and soaking up all the good vibes before things get a little louder around here. We also went to an aquarium and got up close with some of the residents! It was super cool! I e

Pregnancy Fog: The Sims Version Where Every Task Gets Canceled
Pregnancy fog is not a cute phrase. It is the worst! At this point, I feel like a Sim who walks into a room, stops in the doorway, and immediately forgets why they are there. No task. No context. Just standing still while the game glitches. I have officially lost my glasses and they have been missing for five days. Not misplaced for an afternoon. Not “they’re probably on my head.” Fully lost. Gone. I have retraced steps, checked bags, checked pockets, checked places no glasse

Tiny Hearts Big Relief and a Very Official Christmas Food Ruling
Today was a big appointment kind of day and also, somehow, a very festive one! (Shout-out to Ashley for being with me while Jon had to work) We had an ultrasound with a fetal cardiologist because of gestational diabetes. They were looking for missing chambers, valve thickening, and any other tiny heart shenanigans. The best possible news is that everything looks great. Nova's heart is strong, complete, and doing exactly what it should be doing. Because there is a small family

Countdown to Nova's Arrival
Nova’s arrival window is set for March 20, though she may choose an earlier or later showtime. She is already teaching us that time is an illusion and patience is a virtue.

Celebrate Nova: Registry Links
We are so excited to welcome baby Nova (TBD) and we’re deeply grateful for the love and support surrounding her already. If you would like to gift something for her arrival, we would love second hand or hand me down items whenever possible. If second hand is not possible and/or you prefer to choose something from a registry, we have put together a few options. We have selected items from Amazon and several other shops . You will also find a special book list filled with title

Quick Questions and Answers:
Is Nova her name? Not yet. We are still working on that. Jon had strong feelings about me referring to the baby as "it" or "the fetus", which are technically correct but apparently not cute. So we needed a nickname. Jon is a Cancer, ruled by the Moon. I am a Leo, powered by the Sun. Our little one felt like a star between us, so we chose Nova as her placeholder name. It is far more charming than Fetus McBaby. When did you find out? We found out back in July. We kept it quiet

Welcome and Hello
Welcome one and all, family, friends, and anyone who somehow ended up with this link. Since our loved ones are scattered across the four winds and possibly a few alternate dimensions, we realized it would be much easier to share updates in one place instead of sending forty seven group texts and hoping no one gets forgotten. Jon, being the practical one, solved this by creating an entire website. Because why make a simple announcement when you can launch a whole digital unive
